The Guide Robot for Visually Handicapped Persons

摘要

Our research has aimed at the development of the robot that can play therole of guide dogs as the aid of visually handicapped persons. This paper presents, as part of our research, the cognition and tracking algorithm which finds out the line of a series of Braille blocks by CCD camera sensors, with which the guide robot traces along a series of the Braille blocks and guides a visually handicapped person to walk outdoors safely.
