PURPOSE: To rationalize coil bundling/disbundling, to perform it at the same position and to automate the insertion of the protective fixture by loading, on the same base having a transfer device, a shoot for bundling device for steel sheets, device for inserting the fixture at a position to protect the tailend edge of the coil, and device for cutting a band, and also by providing each control device. ;CONSTITUTION: A steel sheet coil 1 is brought in by a coil car to a bundling or band-cutting position and placed on cradle rolls 14 with a band groove or a skid with a band groove. A coil bundling device 10 is mostly fixed on a foundation with only a bundling shoot 13 loaded on a common base 30 with wheels. In addition, a band cutting device 20 is also loaded on the common base 30 together with the bundling shoot 13.
