PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-nitrile polymer composition reduced in the residual maleimide monomer content used as a heat resistance improving component and improved in all of heat resistance, safety and hygienics and to provide a process for its production. ;SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by performing the graft copolymerization of 100 pts.wt. monomer composition comprising 50-80wt.% unsaturated nitrile monomer, 5-25wt.% maleimide monomer, 5-25wt.% aromatic vinyl monomer, and 1-10wt.% monomers copolymerizable therewith in the presence of 1-40 pts.wt. synthetic conjugated diene rubber containing at least 50wt.% units derived from a conjugated diene monomer.
