The invention relates to novel selectively herbicidal active compound combinations comprising substituted aryl ketones of the formula (I) chemistry chemdraw filechemistry mol file;in which A, R¹, R², R³ and R⁴ are as defined in the description and at least one compound which improves crop plant compatibility, which combinations can be used with particularly good results for the selective control of weeds in various crops of useful plants.
