The method for manufacturing the dampening insert for the lower limb prosthesis comprises the filling of the siloxane composition, the molding of the insert, the polymerization, and the cut of the edges. The siloxane composition consists of the silicone rubber grade A and G, the white carbon, polymethylsiloxane PMS-200, polymethylsiloxane PMS-400, and K-18 catalyst. The mixture is polymerized for 20-30 min at room temperature being molded against the gypsum positive cast of the stump. Then the positive cast is covered by 2-4 reinforcing cuffs made of the knitted tube (cotton or nylon) followed by the vacuum impregnation by the same siloxane composition and polymerization for 40-60 min.
