METHOD OF DETERMINING THE RESISTANCE OF PLANTS TO TOXIC EFFECT OF XENOBIOTICS

A method of determining the resistance of plants to the toxic effect of xenobiotics includes determining the indices of roots after growing test-plants on solutions in the presence and absence of a xenobiotic. Determined is concentration of protons in the environment prior to and after germinating the test plants. The acidifying activity of roots of the total amount of test plants is calculated as a difference between these indices and, while increasing this magnitude relative the control, a decrease in the resistance of the plants is determined.
