The invention concerns a method which consists in sensing ultrasonic echoes (L5, L8) through the substrate (2) of a test panel (1) and measuring their amplitudes, their decrease being a function of the adherence of a coating (3) deposited on the opposite surface of the substrate (2); preliminary tests on lest panels provide a correlation function enabling to eliminate the need to subject the test panels (1) to costly and risky mechanical tests.
