The decision method uses data representing the instantaneous situation of the called subscriber, combined with the signalisation data according to freely selected criteria to decide whether or not the requested call connection is established. The momentary situation of the called subscriber may be determined by a chip card (B3) inserted in a chip card reader (B4), with selective diversion of the requested call connection.
