P53 TREATMENT OF PAPILLOMAVIRUS AND CARCINOGEN-TRANSFORMED CELLS IN HYPERPLASTIC LESIONS

Methods for the prevention, suppression, and inhibition of growth of apapilloma-virus transformed cell in a hyperplastic lesion using a topicallyapplied p53 expression cassette are disclosed. In addition, there are providedpharmaceutical preparations of a p53 expression cassette suitable for topicaldelivery to a papillomavirus-transformed cell in a hyperplastic lesion.
