The present invention relates to an improved imaging system which includes a plurality of display screens located spaced from one another and orientated parallel to one another within the imaging system. The imaging system also includes at least one channelling element positioned in front of at least one of these display screens where the channelling element or elements employed are adapted to provide a view of the imaging system with at least one additional binocular depth cue. A method of operating such an imaging system in addition to display software for such an imaging system is also discussed.
