The present invention relates to a process for the distribution of fixed images digital according to a nominal format, each image is divided into blocks and macroblocks depending on the one another by the correlation coefficients. It is carried out, before transmission to the client equipment, to an analysis of the contents in order to generate two parts: on the one hand, a primary contents to the nominal format corresponding to the image modified by the replacement of certain correlation coefficients for the coefficients of the same nature but, and on the other hand, a complementary digital information of any format, comprising the coefficients of correlation substituted and the digital information for the reconstruction of said image modified. It is then transmitted separately, the primary modified contents in real time, or in deferred time and the complementary digital information in real time at the time of the display from the server to the target equipment, and it is calculated on the target equipment a synthesis of contents to the nominal format as a function of the primary modified contents and the said information complémentaire.en particular, the invention relates to the diffusion of fixed images with the jpeg format.
