The procedure comprises a first stage consisting of braking and stopping a first cabin (2a) at a point close to the exit (4) from the station, transferring other cabins (2b - 2f) into the station during the first stage, braking and stopping a second cabin (2b) in a second stage, and repeating the two stages until all the cabins are stacked inside the station. The braking is carried out by a friction clutch and braking system with a detector.
