Disclosed is a medical electrode for diverting signals, especially for diverting signals from human skin. Said medical electrode has a structure comprising at least two layers, a preferably metallic signal lead that can be connected to the signal-transducing subject being disposed between an upper coating and an adhesive layer which can be brought into contact with the signal-transducing subject, preferably in the form of a signal-conducting layer. The inventive medical electrode further comprises a tapping bottle and an electrically insulating covering element which is arranged between said tapping bottle and the signal-transducing subject.
