A mounting support device (10) for a ceiling embedded speaker system, comprising a ceiling reinforcing member (11) and a long member (21), the ceiling reinforcing member (11) further comprising a flat plate-like part (12) and upright parts (14) formed so as to be vertically installed on the flat plate-like part (12), whereby the mounting support device can take a sliding state in which the upright parts (14) can be displaced by slidably moving in the vertical direction relative to the long member (21) and a fixed state in which the upright parts (14) are fixed so that the upright parts (14) cannot be displaced in the vertical direction relative to the long member (21).
