PURPOSE: An oxygen generator of an air conditioner and a control method of the same are provided to prevent damage of an air compression of the oxygen generator placed in the air conditioner in winter by efficiently controlling the air compressor depending on temperature in the oxygen generator. CONSTITUTION: An inside temperature sensor(224) is installed in an oxygen generator, and detects temperature in the oxygen generator to transmit to a control part(202). The control part efficiently controls operation of an air compressor(214) depending on temperature in the oxygen generator detected by the inside temperature sensor so as to controls the air compressor correspondingly with the environment in which the air compressor is placed better than controlling the air compressor depending on temperature of an outside of the oxygen generator. The oxygen generator senses temperature therein to control operation of the air compressor when operation thereof is stopped. The air compressor is stopped and a cooling fan(212) is kept working to forcibly cool down the air compressor if the temperature in the oxygen generator is higher than 0 deg.C. The air compressor and the cooling fan are stopped to allow the air compressor to be cooled down naturally if the temperature in the oxygen generator is lower than 0 deg.C.
