- Method for Enhancing Data Access Speed of Raster Map by Sub-sampling Every Row of Raster Map

PURPOSE: A method for improving a speed accessing the raster map data through the line unit sub-sampling is provided to shorten a time needed to display the data by reducing raster map data access numbers as sub-sampling the data needed to display an actual screen from the raster map data according to a resolution. CONSTITUTION: A raster map processor accesses a hard disk and sub-samples the raster map data according to the resolution of a raster map(401). The data including the necessary region is stored in a memory(403). The raster map data stored in the memory is sub-sampled again in the line unit according to the resolution(405). All sub-sampling data included in the necessary region are processed(407).
