Rh2 Rg3 Anticarcinogenic constituents of ginsenoside Rh2 and Rg3

PURPOSE: Provided an anticancer composition of ginsenoside Rh2 and Rg3 which has improved anticancer effect without adverse side effect, thereby producing remedies or foods for the prevention and treatment of cancer using ginseng or red ginseng. CONSTITUTION: An anticancer composition of ginsenoside Rh2 and Rg3 is characterized by containing ginsenoside Rh2 and Rg3 in a ratio of 1:1 to 10:1. It further contains at least one or two pharmaceutically acceptable carriers selected from diluents, lubricants, disintegrant, binding agents, sweeteners, stabilizers and preservatives, or additives selected from flavorings, vitamin B group. The ginsenoside Rh2 and Rg3 are represented by the formula(1) and (2), respectively.
