Apparatus and Method for Sensing Operation Error of Clutching of Washing Machine

PURPOSE: A wrong operation detecting device in clutching of a washing machine and a method thereof are provided to recognize breakage of a clutch coupling easily by displaying an error message with detecting breakage of the clutch coupling in controlling washing through rotation of the tub. CONSTITUTION: A wrong operation detecting device comprises a power supply unit(10); a motor driving unit(20) driving a motor by receiving power from the power supply unit; a clutch motor(30); a clutch driving unit(40) adjusting the position of a clutch by driving the clutch motor; a clutch position detecting unit(50) detecting the position of the clutch; a voltage detecting unit(70) connected to the input end of the motor driving unit to detect voltage from the power supply unit; a microcomputer(80) controlling the motor driving unit and the clutch driving unit for operating the motor and the clutch, and outputting the control signal by deciding wrong operation in case of detected voltage to be over the reference value; and a display unit(60) displaying the wrong operation message according to the control signal from the microcomputer.
