PURPOSE: A contactless smart card module using a contact smart card and an RF(Radio Frequency) chip on a wire/wireless communication terminal and an embedded smart card module using an RFU(Reserved for Future Use) terminal, and a contacting method thereof are provided to perform user authentication, payment, and settlement in real-time without contact by connecting an independent RF chip to the RFU terminal of the smart card. CONSTITUTION: The smart card(200) supporting only a contact function uses a power supply terminal, a reset input terminal, a clock terminal, a ground terminal, and a program voltage terminal, a serial data I/O(Input/Output) terminal, and the RFU terminals. The smart card module(210) includes the smart card and the RF chip(220), and has a form to be mounted to the wire/wireless communication terminal. An embedded antenna supports a contactless function. The smart card and the RF chip are mounted on the wire/wireless communication terminal by connecting the RF chip to the RFU terminal(230) of the smart card for the contactless function.
