METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CORRECTING IMAGE LENGTH OF FLAT BED SCANNER

PURPOSE: A method and a device for correcting an image length of a flat bed scanner are provided to correct a length of a scanned image by using an amount reading a preset pattern in unit time. CONSTITUTION: A controller(98) generates a motor control signal driving a motor(100). A start checker(80) checks that an image sensor(92) reaches to a starting part of the preset pattern, and outputs a check result as a start signal. A reader(82) reads the preset pattern by responding to the start/end signal. An end checker(84) checks that the image sensor reaches to an ending part, and outputs the check result as an end signal. A pixel calculator(86) inputs the result reading the preset pattern of the reader by responding to the end signal, and calculates the first pixel number that is the pixel number read by time unit. A pixel difference calculator(88) calculates a difference between the first pixel number and the second pixel number, which is the pixel number of unit time when the preset pattern is normally read. A corrector(90) corrects the length of the image scanned by the flat bed scanner based on the difference.
