PURPOSE: A drum brake for a vehicle is provided to prevent partial side wear caused by sectional thermal deformation of a friction part of a drum by friction heat during braking. CONSTITUTION: A drum brake for a vehicle comprises a drum(52) combined to rotate integrally together with a wheel; a shoe installed in the drum; a back plate fixed to a vehicle body; a wheel cylinder installed to the back plate; and a rib(60) formed to the outer peripheral surface of the drum. The shoe is extended in the radial direction. The back plate supports the shoe. The wheel cylinder presses the shoe on the inner peripheral surface of the drum during braking to apply the brake to the wheel by the friction force of the shoe and the drum. The rib reinforces and cools the drum. A packing groove(60a) in which a packing is inserted is formed to one end of the drum. In the drum, the outer peripheral end(51b) of the side(51) combined with the wheel is inclined toward the inside and a reinforcing member(62) is formed to the outer peripheral end of the side combined with the wheel.
