摘要

PURPOSE: An in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display having an electromagnetic induction type touch panel is provided to form an electromagnetic induction type touch panel integratedly with a polarizing plate without loss of transmissivity. CONSTITUTION: Upper and lower polarizing plates are installed corresponding to upper and lower surfaces of a liquid crystal panel. An EM(ElectroMagnetic) sensor unit(50) includes a transparent substrate(30), an X-axis coil group(31) formed of transparent electrodes on the transparent substrate, a first transparent insulating layer(34) formed on the whole surface of the transparent substrate for flattening a surface, a Y-axis coil group(35) formed of transparent electrodes on the transparent substrate, and a second transparent insulating layer(38) formed on the first transparent insulating layer for flattening a surface. A backlight unit applies light to a lower part of the lower polarizing plate. A control unit is formed under the backlight unit for controlling the EM sensor unit.
