STRENGTH-REINFORCED LCD BY FASTENING TOGETHER WITH A REAR COVER OF A BACKLIGHT WITH SCREWS

PURPOSE: An LCD is provided to improve the strength of environments of a side surface keeping element by fastening together with a rear cover of a backlight with screws, thereby improving the strength of the entire LCD device. CONSTITUTION: An LCD includes a light guide panel(14) for illuminating an LC panel(12), a bezel(16) coating an environmental part of the LC panel, and a frame(18) for keeping the LC panel. The bezel and the frame are coupled by screws at side walls. A rear side cover(20) is extended beyond the screw positions from a rear surface of a backlight and has holes(18c) for the screws. When coupling the side walls of the bezel with the frame by the screws, the cover is disposed between the side walls of the bezel and the frame and the screws penetrate the holes, so that the cover is fastened together with the side walls of the bezel and the frame by the screws. Therefore, the environmental parts of the side surface keeping part is reinforced by the cover, thereby improving the strength and reliability of the LCD.
