Secondary Phosphoric Acid-Amino Acid Composite Salts, and Additives for Use in Feed for Ruminant Mammals Containing Such Salts

The present invention provides novel phosphate-amino acid complex salts which are insoluble in a neutral or alkaline aqueous solution and which are soluble in an acidic aqueous solution, and which have a basic amino acid, an alkaline earth metal and a phosphoric acid as main components. The additive composition containing such a complex salt and used in feed for ruminant mammals has excellent protection in the first compartment above the ruminant mammal and good solubility in the fourth compartment above. This additive composition improves the nutritional value of the feed by having a basic amino acid such as lysine, which is a readily deficient substance in feed for ruminant mammals.
