ERROR DETECTION AND RESTORATION METHOD OF GCIN LINK IN THE DIGITAL MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for detecting and recovering an error of a GCIN(Gateway CDMA Interconnection Network) link in a digital mobile communication system is provided to prevent call disconnect and call quality deterioration and manage a GCIN link effectively in a hand-off between switching centers in accordance with an error of a GCIN link by automatically sensing an error generation of the GCIN link and removing a GCIN link from a service resource when an inferiority is found in a GCIN link and reassigning the GCIN link in case that the GCIN link is recovered. CONSTITUTION: It is sensed whether an error is generated or not in a GCIN link periodically(S10). If the number of errors is larger than a critical value for a predetermined time, a hand-off service between switching centers through the corresponding GCIN link is temporarily stopped. In addition, a quality of the corresponding GCIN link having errors is analyzed by comparing transmission test data and receiving test data in an HICA(High Performance IPC Control Assembly) in the switching center 'A'(S20). If the quality of the corresponding GCIN link is inferior, the corresponding GCIN link is removed from the hand-off service resource between switching centers(S31). If the quality of the corresponding GCIN link is not inferior, the corresponding GCIN link is reassigned as a hand-off service resource between switching centers(S32).
