METHOD FOR DETECTING LINK ERROR BETWEEN BASE TRANSCEIVER SUBSYSTEM AND BASE STATION CONTROLLER IN DIGITAL MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for detecting a link error between a base transceiver subsystem and a base station controller is provided to prevent drop of a system performance by controlling call service according to whether or not link error occurs. CONSTITUTION: In a method for detecting a link error between a base transceiver subsystem and a base station controller, the link error between the base transceiver subsystem and the base station controller is sensed(S1). Variables necessary to sense the link error are initialized, and threshold values of an error sense period and an error number are set(S2). In order to check whether an error occurs between the base station and the control station, call service data and control data are received from HICAs, and the number of receiving data is increased when the error occurs at the HICAs(S3,S4). Whether either one of data received from the HICAs is erroneous is judged, the error number is increased at error occurrence, and whether the error number is higher than the threshold value. If identical, a reception number and an error number are initialized, and if higher the quality of the link is parsed(S5-S8).
