WRITING INSTRUMENT EXCELLENT IN CAP-OFF PERFORMANCE

The writing instrument of the present invention having an excellent cap-off performance is characterized, as shown in, for example, Fig. 3, by that in a writing instrument 10 having a pen tip 13 comprising a fibrous feed or a plastic feed, the pen tip 13 described above is coated with a substance which is solid at room temperature and in which a solubility in an ink solvent is 10 % or less at room temperature among substances providing the pen tip with a cap-off property. This writing instrument 10 is such excellent in a cap-off performance that the good writing performance is obtained even after the pen tip is left standing in the air over a long period of time. IMAGE
