PURPOSE: A VB5.1 interface driving method in a subscriber network and a B-ISDN(Broadband-Integrated Service Digital Network) provide a VB5.1 interface method of provisioned allocation as to VP/VC in the subscriber network and B-ISDN. CONSTITUTION: According to the VB5.1 interface driving method of a subscriber network and a B-ISDN system including a system operation management part(21) and a VB5 protocol part(22), the VB5 protocol part initializes the whole system by receiving a VB5 driving request from the system operation management part. A provision as to a corresponding interface is constituted. An internal connection setting as to a corresponding interface between an optical line terminal(OLT) and an optical network unit(ONU) is executed. An internal connection of virtual path connection/virtual channel connection for RTMC is set. A permanent virtual connection(PVC) between a physical user port and a physical service port is executed. After completing the permanent virtual connection, the end of provision is informed and a driving as to the corresponding interface is requested, and the driving result is waited. And when the driving is ended successfully, a service as to the corresponding interface begins. If there is additional provision, the above steps are repeated, and if there is no additional provision, the driving ends.
