PURPOSE: A lottery method and system using stock-index information, a method and system for providing a lottery service are provided to secure the fairness by forbidding an operator of a shopping mall or a lottery service providing system to intervene in lots. CONSTITUTION: A lottery system(20) includes a web agent(21) which periodically searches a web browser and information on stock related indexes, a memory unit(23) which stores the information on stock related indexes read from the web agent(21), an input unit(22) which inputs lottery data, a prizewinner selection unit(25) which selects a prizewinner according to results and an output unit(26) which outputs the prizewinner selected.
