PURPOSE: A dual channel portable phone is provided to execute a voice call and data communication at the same time by configuring the RF part of a GSM(Global System for Mobile communication) or GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) portable phone in the structure of a dual channel. CONSTITUTION: An RF part in a GSM portable phone consists of an antenna(10), an antenna switch part(20), an RF filter(30), an LNA(Low Noise Amplifier)(40), mixers(50a,50b), PGAs(Programmable Gain Amplifiers)(60a,60b), a DSP(Digital Signal Processor)(70), an audio part(80), I/Q modulators(90a,90b), phase detectors(100a,100b), VCOs(Voltage Control Oscillators)(110a,110b), power amplifiers(120a,120b), an LPF(Low Pass Filter)(130). The RF filter(30) receives a signal, received to the antenna(10), through the antenna switch(20) and filters a frequency according to each band. The LNA(40) executes low noise amplification for the signal filtered through the RF filter(30). The first mixer(50a) receives a data signal, received to the antenna(10), through the RF filter(30) and the LNA(40), mixes it with a reference frequency, and extracts the original signal. The second mixer(50b) receives a voice signal, received to the antenna(10), through the RF filter(30) and the LNA(40), mixes it with a reference frequency, and extracts the original signal. The first PGA(60a) amplifies the original signal of the data signal extracted through the first mixer(50a). The second PGA(60a) amplifies the original signal of the voice signal extracted through the second mixer(50b). The DSP(70) comprises decoding buffers(71a,71b), demodulators(72a,72b), modulators(73a,73b), and encoding buffers(74a,74b). The decoding buffers(71a,71b) decode the passwords of the amplified original signals for the data signal and the voice signal respectively. The demodulators(72a,72b) demodulate the decoded signals respectively. The audio part(80) restores the demodulated signal of the second demodulator(72b) into an audio signal.
