Methods for Calculating Fees According to Viewing eBook on Computer System Based on Closed Network

PURPOSE: A method for calculating a charge according as an electronic book is read in a computer system based on a closed network is provided to charge a rental fee in proportion to the use frequency of an expensive electronic book database in a closed network. CONSTITUTION: A managing unit extracts a lending time in a user database(S310). A comparison module compares the current time with the extracted lending time, and checks the expiration date(S320). If the expiration date is passed(S330), a corresponding electronic book is deleted in a user's record(S334) and recorded in a charge database. If the expiration date is not passed, it is judged whether a setting time of the electronic book is passed(S340). If an extension is requested(S350), the managing unit records the extension date in the charge database(S360). Thus, the expiration date of the electronic book is modified(S380).
