A method for block-by-block of print data transmitted from a transmitter unit (1) to a receiver unit (2) via a data line (10) by means of channel command words (ccw), wherein– from the receiver unit (1) to the transmitter unit (2) for starting the data transmission of a first data block, a channel initiation command (init) is transmitted,– the data block of the transmission unit (1) for receiving unit (2) is transmitted,– the receiver unit (2) the received data blocks for checking the data integrity, in particular parsing, to a verifying unit (5) which conducts,– from the receiver unit (2) before or during a preliminary confirmation message of revising operation performed for a successful checking (sim term) to the transmitter unit (1) is sent and– during the revising operation performed of the first data block a second data block of the transmission unit (1) into a buffer memory (7) of the receiver unit (2) is transmitted.
