Current or altered timetables, journey costs, bus-stop and station, entertainment, tourist attraction and hotel locations are called up via a mobile phone connection or via a radio connection onboard the transport means itself. Input of current location enables information, such as stop locations, to be displayed. The cheapest, shortest or quickest routes can also be determined. The invention also relates to a corresponding mobile computing device, such as a PDA, for implementation of the inventive method.
