The power branched two-range gear has a single-duct frictional wheel variator (1), a step-up stage (2) and a summing gear (3) are installed one behind the other in the power flux direction. In a first lower range the power from the drive shaft is directed to the driven shaft via the frictional wheel variator, step-up stage and summing gear, and in a second power range a part of the power from the drive shaft is directed onto an element (6) of the summing gear and another part of the power is directed via the frictional wheel variator and step-up stage onto another element (7) of the summing gear.
