A device for heating fluids in a water-conducting household apparatus, especially a dishwasher, comprises a structure (3) which can contact the fluid and which has an electrical conductor (4,5) at the surface which is heated by electrical current flow and thus warms the fluid. An Independent claim is also included for a dishwasher comprising the device above for heating the rinsing water or for the drying process.
