Use of cosmetic containing 2.5-40 wt.% urea for treating disorders of the scalp, accompanied by dandruff and/or itching, is claimed. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) fat-free cosmetics for treating human hair and/or scalp, which contain purified water and 2.5-40 wt.% urea; (2) similar cosmetics containing fat with purified water and 20-40 wt.% urea.
