The digital signal receiver has a reception antenna (1) for reception of signals in proximity to a transmission conductor structure, with a measuring device (7) determining at least one parameter indicative of the signal quality, e.g. using the amplitude of the HF input signal (4) and a digitizer (3) converting the HF input signal into a digital output signal (6). The signal quality provided by the measuring device is supplied to the digitizer for adjusting its switch threshold, hysteresis or amplification.
