The method involves producing at least one topographical change protruding from the surface on at least one side of at least one sheet with a laser. The laser beam is scanned across the surface of the sheet by a scanning device. The laser beam is not focused on the surface of the sheet. The laser beam produces at least one topographical change by melting through the sheet.
