Guide rail (1) comprises a stop part having an overlapping part (22) arranged above an engagement space (21) open at least on one side. A support plate (5) of a hand machine tool has a protruding part (23) fitting into the engagement space. The protruding part and the overlapping part are designed and arranged so that the protruding part enters the engagement space on displacement of the stop part and/or the hand machine tool toward each other. The overlapping part forms a high stop (24) for the protruding part which is active in an upward direction. The guiding engagement between the stop part and the guide rail prevents the stop part from being lifted upward from the guide rail.
