A look up table (530F) stores digital image information related to gradient adjustment, and corresponding reset ramp waveform gradient reference data. A controller (530) digitizes sensed image information, and converts corresponding reference data read from the table, into analog signal. A generating circuit (540) changes gradient of the reset ramp waveform according to the level of the signal. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) an apparatus for driving a plasma display panel; and (2) method for controlling driving of plasma display.
