Track-guiding of vehicle, e.g. for controlling road traffic, using onboard guiding device combined with video camera and GPS navigation system to warn driver about detection of tracks

A vehicle (10) has an onboard track-guiding device (32) which is connected to a GPS based navigation system (31) and a video camera (34) for detecting tracks, e.g. markings, on the road, esp. in dangerous spots, like sharp bends or motorway exits. A warning device (33) alerts the driver about the existence of the tracks. When traveling on roads not suitable for track guiding, esp. inner city streets, the warning device is switched off and when entering the road suitable for track-guiding the warning device is switched on. The device can be also switched on when a set legal speed limit is exceeded. An independent claim is also included for the track-guiding device.
