The clamping sleeve (1) for the fastening of a hollow shaft (2) on a machine shaft (3). An adaptor bush (1') is fitted on the machine shaft and by means of an annular bush (5) engages between the two shafts. The annular bush consists of an outer cone (7) with a longitudinal slot (8), and an interacting inner cone (6) also with a longitudinal slot (32). The adaptor bush has a nut (4) which comes to lie axially outside the hollow shaft. The nut has a female thread with which interacts a male thread on the hollow cylindrical extension (9) of the inner cone.
