The computer program starts (START) and goes to the first step (S1) which calculates an input value from the accelerator pedal position (ACCP). The second step (S2) calculates injection pressure (QFIN) and required pressure (PFIN). The third step (S3) monitors injection start time (TFIN) and either returns to start or goes to the fourth step (S4), to give an enabling signal to an injector (IMPULSE EIN). The fifth step (S5) involves monitoring pressure (UBERWACHEN VON PC). The sixth step (S6) calculates an estimated amount of fuel injected (BERECHNEN VON QEST). The seventh step (S7) estimates whether the estimated amount of fuel is great enough and the eighth step (S8) produces an output pulse (IMPULSE AUS).
