The spectroscope has a body (28) with a front surface and a rear surface. A recess (31) is provided in the rear surface. This is formed by several angled reflective surfaces and an inner planar surface which runs parallel to the front surface. A laser beam (20) directed at the front surface is split into several partial beams. Each partial beam is generated by a respective reflective surface and the inner planar surface.
