The invention concerns novel insoluble s-triazine derivatives bearing benzotriazole and/or benzathiozole groups, their method of preparation and their use in particulate form as UV filters, in particular in cosmetics. The invention also concerns the application of these compounds particularly for skin and hair protection against UV radiation.
