This solid support of metallocenes as catalysts in the polymerization of olefins, characterized by the fact that it consists of a set of support particles of solid catalytic component, formed of at least one porous mineral oxide, the said particles having been modified in order to carry, at the surface of the lewis acid sites, aluminium and / or magnesium, of formula: (see appended drawing in bopi) the catalytic system according to the invention has (have) a metallocene catalyst, which is, if necessary, been subjected to a préalkylation; (b) a cocatalyst; and (c) a solid support of the metallocene activator such as defined - above, the cocatalyst (b) may be absent if the metallocene catalyst (a) has been previously alkylated, the support (c) may have been impregnated with the metallocene catalyst (a), which is, if necessary, been subjected to a treatment of préalkylation leads either before or after preimpregnation of said support.
