PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid filling shortage of an inert resin in space for an inert resin.;SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing an FPD, a case 5 is brought into intimate contact with and fixed to an insulating substrate 3 so that the case 5 covers a radiation-sensitive film 1 and a bias voltage application electrode 2, forming space SPA which is filled with the inert resin 4. Unlike before, filling shortage of the inert resin caused by the mixing of air can be thereby avoided. A liquid material LQ supplied from an inlet 6 in the lowermost part of the case 5 pushes air within the space SPA to the outside when it overflows from an outlet 7 in the uppermost section, allowing the liquid material LQ to extend throughout the space SPA in a dense state.
