LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL PROJECTOR USING THE SAME

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with high display quality that increases the heat radiation performance of a display panel in use environment wherein intense light is made incident on a projection type liquid crystal projector etc., and has a high contrast and small display luminance unevenness. PSOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 1 has a liquid crystal layer 4 sandwiched between a TFT substrate 2 and an opposite substrate 3 with film surface confronted with each other. Then a dustproof substrate 6 is stuck on the side of the opposite substrate 3 where light is made incident and a heat radiation substrate 5 is stuck on the side of the TFT substrate 1 where light is projected with an adhesive having high flexibility. Further, outer circumferential regions of the TFT substrate 2, opposite substrate 3, heat radiation substrate 5, and dustproof substrate 6 that no light passes through are held by a holder 7. The heat radiation substrate 5 is composed of a single-crystal substrate or polycrystalline substrate with high heat conductivity which is made of a crystal system of a cubic system.
