PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a light metal or light alloy-made cast product having high strength with good productivity.;SOLUTION: A cooled body 3 cooled with compressed air passing through the inner part is dipped into molten light metal or light alloy material W held in a crucible 1 and rotated. In this way, the molten metal is cooled while stirring to make semi-solidified slurry. In this process, solidified nuclei are generated on the outer peripheral surface of the cooling body 3 and dispersed in the material. In the cooling process, the crucible 1 is heated with a heating device 2 disposed on the periphery thereof.
