PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in use of a transparent model for visualizing and measuring the flow of a fluid within an object of complicated shape, wherein mismatching of the refractive index of the fluid carried in the model with that of the material of the model causes the so-called "defocusing" at the observing of the flow, which may hinder observation.;SOLUTION: The transparent model is put not in air but in a liquid, and the temperatures of the liquid carried in the transparent model and the liquid filling the outside thereof are adjusted to perform matching of refractive index between the model material and the liquid. This matching is determined by the use of a laser device and an analysis device of the illuminating light. The internal and external liquids are separated, whereby injection of a dye for visualization can be limited only to the internal circulating fluid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
